Museum Birthday Bash 13th October 2024

On Sunday 13th October, we held a Birthday Bash to celebrated 3 Brithdays at the Museum,

The Museum was officially formed in 1979, making it 45 years old.
The building was originally built in 1934, making it 90 years old.
The Museum’s Bristol K5G, JVW 430, was built in 1944, making it 80 years old.

We would like to thank Dave Nash for bringing Bristol VR, Eastern National CityBus Livery – Fleet Number 3129, XHK 234X and allowing it to be used on the link shuttle bus service

We would also like to thank Martin Farmer and 825 Preservation Group for bringing, 1939 Bristol K, Westcliff-on-Sea Livery, AJN 825, which use to be housed in the museum until 1988.

We also had a visiting vehicle show down on the seafront at Labworth

We had a cake made by Rhea Varker of Rhea’s Bespoke Bakes, Canvey, which was cut by our local MP Rebecca Harris

As the day was a 1940 -1980 theme, we asked people to come dressed in period costume, and awarded prize for the best dressed adult and child.

Our Dave Tucker presents Lindsay with the best dressed adult prize, and the prize for best dressed child went to 2 sisters, Rue and Eden, seen here with Mum.

We also would like to thank, Lorriane Cater Vintage Singer, The Ukulele Band and the A2Jive Dancers for helping supply the entertainment for the day.
