Canvey Island Transport Museum

Welcome to our new website

NOTES FOR VISITORS

The major building renovation project happening inside the Museum is still continuing, so while certain areas of the building will be off limits, the Society is welcoming visitors back for events and Open Sundays throughout 2024.

Our first open day is our Easter Event on Sunday 31st March, thereafter we are open on the first and third Sundays, April to September and our final date is Sunday 13th October. Full details can be found in our events pages.

GENERAL INFORMATION
During times when the Museum is open, there is no charge for entry on scheduled Open Sundays, though there can be an admission charge on special events. As the museum is totally run by volunteers and our society relies on donations – they are our lifeblood, and help to ensure that we can keep the Museum open and safe for visitors, and pursue improvement and renovation projects for both the buildings and the exhibits owned by the Society.   During your Museum visit volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions.

Check this website regularly, or follow our Facebook page for details of Events as they are planned.

New members and volunteers are also very welcome!
We need your support, if you are interested in becoming a member of Castle Point Transport Museum Society or are just interested in volunteering to help maintain and run the museum, please email info@canveyislandtransportmuseum.co.uk for information.

Thank you for your support!
