Yesterday afternoon (6th October 2023) some of the museum committee met with Angela Walford at the bus garage. She was bringing a donation of £500 to be presented to the museum charity. The money was as a result of a very entertaining and fun quiz night held at the War Memorial Hall last week. Angela and her husband Gary regularly stage quiz nights specifically in order to make money for local community groups and charities. The museum committee members were absolutely delighted with the amount donated. It will come in very handy, especially as the long – awaited building works have just started.
